From a farmers’ market (2004) that highlighted rural produce in the urban environment, Souk el Tayeb developed into Tawlet – the farmers’ kitchen in 2009.
In the same vision that is to celebrate food and traditions that unite communities and the culture of sustainable agriculture, Tawlet is a social business, where profit is generated to support farmers, cooks and producers. We now have two locations in Beirut, four in regions and Tawlet catering providing authentic home cooking from all the regions of Lebanon.
