Turtles symbolise Mother Nature. This female loggerhead died with a plastic bag in its throat and a hook on her tongue off Ain el Mreisseh coast in Lebanon reported yesterday by Greenarea and OBBA. How many plastic bags did you consume today? ðIn the saddest reality of our wastefulness, in a country where 11,000 migrating birds are shot at and rubbish is dumped in landfills directly into the sea, it's a feat of mother nature's will to find wildlife surviving here amongst a nation running in survival mode in cancer rates increasing with more pollution by the day. ð¢Let her not die in vain nor drown out our possibilities and will. We are needed and called to #diveintoaction now more than ever, directly playing a hand in the destruction of ecosystems from our consumption and disposing habits and to protect and demand our right to health. ð£Recycling support and municipality implementation, observation teams and halting the incineration plants, air pollution, waste water treatment, plastic bag and single use item reduction, national education and awareness .. the issues go on and on growing mountains of their own on the already pilled up to do lists to save the country. â»Until then and while individuals and organisations push for progress we ask those willing and able to: Rethink//Refuse//Reduce//Reuse//Recycle//Regenerate
