This is what I love most about summer. The vibrant colours of the many... This is what I love most about summer. The vibrant colours of the many varieties of stone fruits are mesmerising. The choices are endless. The taste, sweet, sweeter and sweetest. Yummmmm You will notice the green figs in the photo. They are the first figs I’ve picked from my tree. After being planted in the ground for almost 5 years, it has finally diced to grace us with its fruit. Till this day, figs trees remain the main source of income for many families in my village. During the summer season the towns people set up makeshift shops along the side of the road. Figs and sweet golden grapes are the main attractions in these tiny tent shops. Tourists, holiday makers and locals keep these shops going in the summertime. On my last visit to lebanon, 3 1/2 years ago, I spent many hours in my cousin’s tent shop chatting with the buyers, helping out with the set up of the fruit or simply drinking coffee and sharing a freshly lit Argili (hookah). I’m looking forward to going back this summer to make more wonderful memories and to share many more stories with all my friends. Sending you all love and blessings ❤️🙏
