(Joünié) Tasteless @lonelyplanet review says: "Famous as the home of the venerable Casino du Liban, noisy bars, crowded restaurants and lurid ‘super’ nightclubs filled with bored exotic dancers, it certainly won't be to everyone's taste. Nevertheless, it does have one worthwhile distraction in its dizzying Teleferique." Condescending, bias and a wrongful description of this beautiful city. Yes the above indeed exists, but along with 300 year old stone souks, a bustling ferry and fishing port, tens of beautifully reserved old Lebanese houses, home to many music festivals and one of the oldest historical landmarks in the country, the spectacular caves of the Jeita Grotto! I think I care a bit more than I admit for #mylebanon 🙈🙊
