Sharks in Tyr
Dead small toothed sand tiger sharks lying on the ground at a fishmonger’s stall in city of Tyre, South Lebanon.
Nine sharks, weighing up to 50kg each, were caught in Tyre, according to the local fishermen, who believe they were brought to the coastal waters by Storm Alexa, which swept the eastern Mediterranean this week.
