On the occasion of the Holy month of the Virgin Mary, “My Amazing Lebanon” will be organizing a tour to one of Lebanon’s most important pilgrimage sites, the sanctuary of Saydet El Mantara in Maghdouché & to Kawkaba, in the Caza of Hasbaya, where Christ & the Virgin Mary used to visit relatives. . The date of the tour will be Sunday, May 26. . Kindly confirm your places by Saturday, May 18. . ***DM FOR INFO*** . Our Lady of Awaiting, also known as Our Lady of Mantara, is a Melkite Greek Catholic Marian shrine in Maghdouché, Lebanon, discovered on 8 September 1721 by a young shepherd. The grotto, which according to a legend dates to ancient times, was subsequently cared after by Monsignor Eftemios Saïfi, Melkite Catholic bishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Archeparchy of Sidon. The shrine consists of a tower crowned with the statue of the Virgin and Child, a cathedral, a cemetery and a sacred cave believed to be the one where the Virgin Mary rested while she waited for Jesus. Kawkaba is a village in the Caza of Hasbaya, South Lebanon. Kawkaba receives the first rays of the sun rising over Mount Hermon before they flood the whole land in their glow. But all that is of lesser importance. What matters is that Kawkaba was the land of Christ and his Apostles, and of the prophets such as Ezekiel. Our Lord went there several times to visit the relatives of his mother the Virgin Mary. Kawkaba is a village breathing the odor of sanctity, for it faces Mount Hermon, where took place the Transfiguration, and its olive groves (which date back to more than 4000 years), received both Jesus and John the Baptist. Legend says that Christ rested in the shade near a great rock; being very thirsty, he struck the ground with his stick & water sprang up, abundant & miraculous. Believers without number come to visit, make vows & pray at this spring, named Ain al-Massih, the Spring of Christ. . #a7labaladbil3alam 🇱🇧 . . . . . #photo #love #photograph #photography #photographer #camera #me #picoftheday #photooftheday #faith #pilgrimage #prayer #fun #goodtimes #scenery #ig_captures #ig_photooftheday #superhubs #igerslebanon #ig_lebanon #lebanon #great_lebanon #photographylovers
