O artista cubano-americano Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada, em colaboração com o BAD, criou um mural de grande escala em um edifício destruído pela guerra em Beirute, no Líbano. O mural foi encomendado com a ideia de transformar o distrito de Bachoura em uma área comercial de tecnologia e inovação até 2019. O trabalho retrata um jovem explorando um quadro Arduino, aludindo à necessidade de inovação e educação para construir um futuro melhor para a sociedade. Após os conflitos que marcaram violentamente a cidade de Beirute, e com Bachoura na linha de frente da Guerra Civil de 1975, a área agora está sendo trazida de volta à vida pelo Distrito Digital de Beirute, pois cidade testemunha um momento cheio de esperança. The mural was commissioned with the idea of transforming the district of Bachoura into a commercial area of technology and innovation until 2019. The paper portrays a young man exploring an Arduino framework, alluding to the need for innovation and education to build a better future for society. After the conflicts that marked the city of Beirut violently, and with Bachoura the front line of the Civil War of 1975, the area is now being brought back to life by the Digital District of Beirut, as the city witnesses a moment full of hope.
