My grandparents used to store their harvested summer grains in large... My grandparents used to store their harvested summer grains in large terracotta pots. Being around 10 years old the pots appeared so much larger than me. There was a special room my grandfather used to store these pots in, full of rice, cracked wheat, flour, salt, sugar, lentils, beans etc...The fun part about all this is when I'd ask my grandmother for a couple of eggs to make my favourite meal, "eggs and potato". She would direct me to the room with the large terracotta pots and and tell me to dig my hands in the grains and search for the eggs in there. I never went home empty handed. I always managed to find three or four fresh eggs. The beauty of making simple meals such as these are the beautiful memories that spring to mind as I'm cooking them. Sending you all love and good wishes. ❤️🌹
