Most of us in Lebanon have a house in the mountains other than the one in the city.
Lebanese always used to leave the coast during summer and enjoy the freshness and nice weather of the villages up on the hills.
2 weeks ago I went hiking in the Cedars' Reserve of the Chouf and drove around in this beautiful green area.
I remembered that my dad used to tell us his childhood stories in "Barouk", running in the narrow streets, camping under the huge Cedar trees ...
it's true that life became faster and maybe easier too but back than I think it was simpler and for sure more fun.
