It was planned to be called " #skidog " and not " #skidoo " in 1959 by its inventor the #French - #Canadian businessman Jospeh Armand Bombardier #bombarider . But a typing mistake (skidoo instead of skidog) changed all the process, and so it was called by people skidoo. Now , and after you've read all of the above , it is important to point out that by skidoo I'm referring to the brand and not the snowmobile machine . But hey , here you go : snowmobiles were invented by Bombarider too in 1922 as a manner of cross-countries transportation for the tough snow streets. However , the modern light snowmobiles that we do ride today were invented around 1959/1960.
