Igreja de São João Batista iluminada no crepúsculo. A construção desta igreja de estilo romanesco, nas ruas medievais acima do porto de Byblos, começou em 1115 pelas mãos dos cruzados, e a estrutura foi estendida e melhorada ao longo dos séculos. É assim uma mistura interessante de arquiteturas árabe e italiana com restos de mosaicos bizantinos. Uma obra prima histórica ao ar livre! 🇱🇧 Church of St John the Baptist illuminated at twilight. The construction of this Romanesque-style church in the medieval streets above the Byblos harbour commenced in 1115 by crusaders and the structure was extended and improved over subsequent centuries. It’s thus an interesting mixture of Arab and Italian designs, with remains of Byzantine mosaics.
