I’ve been receiving non stop comments about losing so much weight lately. Everywhere I go, everyone has an opinion: you’re too skinny now, stop losing. It suits you, you look great. Your ass and boobs are gone you look like a little girl. You need to tone your legs. And even though I appreciate everyone’s feedback I won’t lie it’s been overwhelming. Some are asking how, and I enjoy answering this question the most because I am happy to share what helped me with people who are trying to drop some weight and haven’t been able to yet. So here it is, I cut down on my portions and I’m eating clean wholesome food. Sometimes eating up to 5 times a day (three small meals and 2 small snacks). I enjoy and look forward to each of these meals and eat more mindfully and take my time doing so. Also I applied the same principles that I do in my yoga practice. I know that progress is not linear and that there are set backs. I didn’t let that discourage me. Some days were harder than others especially at the beginning when my body was still craving the processed sugar and excessive carbs that I had let myself indulge in for a while. But I just knew that the hard days will pass and I didn’t give into temptation; my mantra was perseverance. I also often visualized myself the way I wanted to look and feel. All of this was yet another proof that our lives are really just a manifestation of our minds. Use your thoughts words and actions in alignment with your goals and objectives and don’t be driven by fear. I hope some of you find this useful, let me know if you do!
