I left my beautiful 🇱🇧 two days ago for the first time as a resident of another, the #netherlands. It was a long 2 years to get the Dutch residency; there was a lot of traveling back and forth, a lot of Dutch learning/integration, many uncertainties and postponed projects...but we have finally made it through👏🏻❤️🙏🏻👫
However, as much as that milestone has made me #happy , it is always a bitter sweet realization because while I’m gaining a new #home country, it feels that I am loosing another...but am I really? 🙇🏻♀️
Just because I am changing my residence doesn’t mean that Lebanon 🇱🇧 will no longer be home just like moving out of my parents will never make it feel less like🏡
