Good morning Beirut. I’ll be taking over @icrc_lebanon Instagram account... Good morning Beirut. I’ll be taking over @icrc_lebanon Instagram account for the next few days to tell you the stories of missing people during Lebanon’s conflicts and their beloved ones. #Repost @icrc_lebanon with @get_repost ・・・ Not much of Ramzi’s belongings survived the years but his family held on to some of his favourite things like his flute, one pair of jeans and a rosary he used to always carry around. But Ramzi’s absence, or his presence, is still very much felt in the house. “I look at my son and I see a lot of my brother in him. His eyes, his spirit and even his skin are the same, they’re all the same,” said Fawzi, Ramzi’s older brother. This week, renowned war photographer, @patrickbaz, is taking over our Instagram account ahead of the International Day of the Disappeared this August 30. He will be sharing some photos and stories of families who had a loved one go #missing during the Lebanese war. Since the end of the war in 1990, the fate of thousands in #Lebanon remains unknown. Thousands are missing, and thousands are missing them. This is the story of Ramzi who has been missing since 1983. @afpservices #pbzinbeirut #goodmorningbeirutbypbz
