Food and beverage venues feed the waste crisis with single use disposables. Step by step @alfalamanki joins the #balaplastic movement to transition towards zero waste to regenerate Lebanon. The first step on the menu: the cold mezze. With thanks to @ideasgrp, we held training sessions on reduction of waste, sorting to recycle, local baladi alternatives and the dangers of coastal landfilling and incineration. System change is a conscious step and our recipe for change is cooking. Be part of the collective habit shift. ♻ 1 ton of plastics were recycled with #LebaneseRecyclingWorks. Plastic bottles exported to Turkey. Transparent plastic cups, shisha tips, and straws sent for injection grade remanufactured into fruit and vegetable crates, plant pots and clothes hangers.
