The campaign claims that those companies have 5 million users and if everyone closed their lines for one day they would let them lose around 5 million dollars and then maybe they would learn to fix their deals.
In Lebanon one have to recharge their lines monthly for around $20 and you would lose these $20 if you don't recharge again for another $20 even if you don't use them or you don't call anyone.
In other countries you would only pay for the calls you make and they force you to recharge your line for as little as $5 each 6 months.
