Posting on my page for the first time in a while from the beautiful homeland 🇱🇧🤗 ^

I started the new year with a much needed little break from social media, and I must admit, I quite enjoyed it.. ^
^
As much as I enjoy @instagram with its ability to connect people worldwide, and the motivation and inspiration I take from the amazing fitness community everywhere, I struggle to keep up with the pressure this app adds to our lives lately..
The pressure to post regularly in order to keep and grow the followers count even when not in the mood to post,
the pressure to constantly interact with other accounts to keep the engagement high even if I don't genuinely like their content or I don't feel like spending hours looking at my phone,
the pressure to look happy even if I'm not,
the pressure to look motivated even when I feel far from it,
the pressure of living up to the app standards and beating its new algorithm in order to survive in this new virtual world.. ^

How did we get here? When did we reach this point where we gave an app control over our lives?
Life is stressful enough as it is, do we truly need more stress from this small device in our hands? ^
^
So Dear @Instagram, you may have your rules, but I have mine.. I will post whenever I genuinely feel like posting,
I will interact whenever I see something truly worth my attention,
and if this is not good enough for you, it's more than fine with me.. I am well aware that this will make me lose followers and engagement rate, but this is a price I'm more than happy to pay in order to be more true to myself, and stay more in touch with the real world I live in as opposed to your virtual one 😊
