An encounter at Souk el Tayeb… Paul and Minerva are selling apple...

An encounter at Souk el Tayeb… Paul and Minerva are selling apple... An encounter at Souk el Tayeb… Paul and Minerva are selling apple products. They're from Akoura, a village in the Jbeil district that is known for its apples... But Paul and Minerva’s products (Ain el Aakel) are on another level. Minerva’s blue eyes call upon you from afar, and after you get drawn, she goes on to tell you all about her apples that are “sheghle ana w 3aylete”. These apples are the inspiration of a variety of 16 products… jam and cookies, cakes and juices, vinegar and debs (molasses), dried apples and crackers… yes. All made with apples, and love. Souk El Tayeb takes place every Saturday morning in Beirut Souks, and every Wednesday in Gefinor. #EncountersAtTheSouk #SoukElTayeb #Producers #FacesAndStories #Family #LebanonCommonGround #LebaneseProducts #AuthenticProducts #FarmerMarket #FarmersProducts #Apples
