From bin to sea! Saint George-Zeitouna Bay was built off garbage. The technology, product design and management of resources is a struggle of resistance to corruption. Contractually Jihad el Arab is meant to recycle the waste the community keeps sorting and placing in bins. When you put your sorted waste in Ramco and City Blue bins they are transported to Jihad el Arab and instead of recycling it, over 3,000 tons are dumped daily for over 3 years directly into the Mediterranean sea off the Lebanese coast to reclaim land and build #LINORD private real estate projects from the garbage while fabricating that incineration is the way forward to end coastal dumping, irreversably destroying our ecosystem, right to health and bare children. We have an abundance of recycling facilities in Lebanon and a #waronwaste. #Therealjihad! Jihad جهاد To make conscious individual sacrifices for the sake of the many. "Declare your jihad on thirteen enemies you cannot see -egoism, arrogance, conceit, selfishness, greed, lust, intolerance, anger, lying, cheating, backbiting, gossiping and slandering. If you can master and destroy them, then you will be ready to fight the enemy you can see.” #ImamAlGhazali The word Jihad has been given violent connotations by the western media and extremists. A little bit of reading and research will show anyone that Jihad is a call for soul, love, a struggle for love, the love for ourselves, others and ultimately our home, #Gaia. As Recycle Lebanon, Our #jihad is for the environment it is an #EcoJihad against all kinds of pollution, in our water, in our air, in our land and most importantly...in our minds. “Protecting the environment is a moral calling” Sea the future and walk against this coastal dumping and fabrication to incineration with us tonight at 7pm in protest with @nahnoolb #RecycleLebanon has submitted apeals to the council of ministers against the incineration file and the expansion of coastal landfiling together with #LebanonEcoMovement in the @wastemanagementcoalition. #Lebanon #circulareconomy #zerowaste #ourseas #breakfreefromplastic #waterwars #antiincineration #Ecowarrior #itstartswithyou
