Thank you to the Ministry of Environment and operationbigblue for the... Thank you to the Ministry of Environment and #operationbigblue for the opportunity to raise awareness collectively. Join our talk Wednesday at Dunes at 2:30 pm. With the opening of #EcoSouk #circularhub, we take our next step in growing our project with a makerspace focusing on product packaging to scale #systemchange. We actively work to support the gov in this transition and depend on governmental cooperation to reach a #circulareconomy. Across #globalrecyclingday we aim to raise the solutions to #regeneratelebanon. 🌱 1. Incineration is off the table. Processing products designed to waste is an urgent threat to livelihoods, environment and our economy. 50 years in and the pollution and medical reports seal the case that managed filters don't remove the matter of fact of toxins reaching the embryo. No life is safe from incineration. + we hospitably create 70% organic waste, targets European countries jump to reach to in their journey to de incinerate . 🍃 2. The recycling process is broken with Asia's closed doors and low fuel price, America's new plastics route can't be encouraged by improving recycling only to increase production of single use plastic. Plastic doesn't just pollute and increase climate change, it directly impacts human reproduction. 🐚🕸 3. Drastic measures, laws, cooperation needed to industrially redesign with #ecodesign life cycle assessment pushing resource recovery, local production, circular economic growth at the forefront. The positive? We're Lebanese and we are the best ofcourse! We already champion #plasticfreeproduce and bulk food from our roots. We've got alternatives and an innovative network of stakeholders to redesign products. We will be highlighting the entrepreneurs, #baladialternatives and new technologies to pave our way forward. #zerowaste #productredesign #exportlebanon #madeinlebanon #meetthemaker #lebanon #visitlebanon #balaplastic #noburn #matehro7baladi
