Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend so far. Looking at the colors... Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend so far. Looking at the colors in these platters is a reminder to me that my favorite season, Autumn, is here. In celebration of these golden months ahead I wanted to share this poem I wrote about Autumn with you all. ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ AUTUMN I happened across autumn, just the other day. Was in kind of a hurry, I had to go, but natures wild forces compelled me to stay. I stood watching gallant trees, As they, swiftly, began to undress. Discarding leaves, rusty and shy, Like birds feathers, Floating on by, Flirting with the windโ€™s, tender caress. The forces steered me to a lake. Misty droplets clotted my mood. Enchanted landscapes sowed an ache. On natureโ€™s laws, I did intrude. Scarecrow-like I stood my ground. I dared not move, I stood still. I dared not blink, I dared not think, I dared not make a breathing sound. I plunked, gazing in a trance. On Autumnโ€™s wings the swans took flight Composed and graceful heading West. To soar through skies of day and night, And warm the treasures of their nest. The frosty lake will pay her due. The shadowy lanterns will see her through. I looked away before I cried. The lake was sleeping, yet it died. My steps will lead me here no more Till Autumn sleeps and spring does thaw. Siham Chamoun
