A few weeks ago both my daughters happened to be holidaying in lebanon and in Syria at the same time. "What do you want from Lebanon muma?", they both kept asking me. "Anything that reminded me of my beautiful Ouma", was always the thought that came straight to my head and my kids knew me well enough, from the stories I've told about my childhood with my mother, what one of the things I would love them to bring back was. Sending them photos here and there and dropping small hints helped as well. 😂🤣Justine arrived back before Leanna carrying with her a large beautiful round cane woven tray. I was overjoyed with this wonderful present. My Ouma used to serve us our meals on similar trays. Imagine my joy when my daughter Leanna came back with two large similar round trays. I just love when I get meaningful gifts from my homeland and I can actually smell the country air in every woven row in these gorgeous trays.
